Suspicious death in Verdun ruled a homicide

The case of a death in Verdun, where a man’s body was found Friday at the entrance of an apartment building, has been ruled a homicide.

Montreal police confirmed Monday that autopsy results show the 47-year-old man was killed, making it Montreal’s twenty-third homicide of the year.

Police will not reveal the cause of death at this time.

The man’s body was found inside the main entrance of a building on Allen Street.

Until the autopsy results came in, the case was being treated as a suspicious death.

Police have no suspects at this time, and have transferred the case to the major crimes unit.
