Jenique Dalcourt homicide: Test results back from lab

Police in Longueuil, Que. say they have received preliminary results from laboratory tests in the investigation into the death of Jenique Dalcourt.

Const. Tommy Lacroix said results of the tests would not be made public, citing the continuing investigation.

He said investigators are waiting for results from more tests.

The 23-year-old died after being beaten on a bike path on October 21.

Investigators had arrested a man in connection with the death. He was released days later.

Police at the time said prosecutors felt elements of the investigation were still missing, notably the results of the forensic tests.

Lacroix said investigators consider him an important witness in the case.
