It's the sixth and final Grand Prix event of the ISU series and the last chance for skaters to qualify for December's Grand Prix Finals, to be held in Barcelona, Spain.
The top six skaters in each of the four disciplines are invited to Barcelona so it's the performances in Tokyo that will decide who's advancing and the skaters in Japan and those who have already competed will be holding their breaths to see who's in and who's out.
The NHK Trophy competition runs from Nov. 28-30.
