Sick Kids research helping doctors diagnose rare lung disease in infants

Doctors and researchers at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children are narrowing in on how to diagnose a rare lung disease.

Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia, or PCD, is often misdiagnosed in young kids and can lead to serious complications later in life for those who suffer from the condition.

Doctors hope that by diagnosing the disease more accurately in infants patients lives will be extended.

Watch the TV report above from the CBC's Kate Adach for more about PCD and how new research is improving the life of kids who have the condition.
