CALGARY - There have been some tense moments in an inner-city neighbourhood in Calgary after police shut down several streets due to a robbery at a Bank of Montreal.
Calgary police confirmed late Wednesday that they had taken three men into custody.
They said part of the Mission neighbourhood was contained to ensure the safety of those nearby and to allow officers to determine if any suspects remained in the bank.
It is believed the suspects may have used firearms during the offence and that the staff remained safely locked within a room inside the bank during the robbery.
All three suspects fled the scene but were located nearby and taken into custody without incident.
