With all the grocery store varieties out there, it can get tricky to find foods that are actually good for you. In the video above, Dr. Anna Esparham tells WDAF-TV the top 10 unhealthy health foods you should probably scratch off that shopping list. From carbs to drinks to even dairy products, Esparham goes through each item and their false claims.
"It's just an increase in the shelf life, so its almost like decaying food that you're eating, with a whole lot of chemicals in it," she tells the news station.
To make things a lot easier for your health, stick to foods that don't have added sugar or preservatives, and eat everything in moderation. You can also try adding more local, fresh and nutritious fruits and vegetables to your diet.
