Coincidence? No. 23 prevalent on night of Pat Quinn tribute

Prior to hosting the Washington Capitals at Air Canada Centre on Saturday, the Toronto Maple Leafs paid tribute to Pat Quinn, who recently passed away after a long illness. A former player, coach and general manager with the Leafs, Quinn wore No. 23 during his playing days.

Superstitions were raised throughout the evening as those digits popped up on several occasions.

After the Leafs defeated the Capitals 6-2, Randy Carlyle showed his appreciation for what seems like a remarkable coincidence -- or perhaps more.

The general feeling was that this was a sign of Quinn's presence in the building.
