The parents of two 15-year-old girls are asking for the public's help after the girls left their local high school around 2:20 p.m. PT Friday and didn't come home.
Saylor's mother Trish Martian says the family later learned through texts the girls had spent three weeks planning their escape and left with about $300 in cash.
"We just want them to know that we love them so very much and are so worried about them," said Martian. "So many family and friends are out their searching for them and we are all praying for their safe return."
"Please girls, just call someone and let us know where you are. Someone out there must have seen them. Please help us find them."
Martian says the girls have struggled recently at school with social and emotional issues. She believes they may be headed to Fort McMurray, Alberta either by bus or by hitchiking.
They have not turned on their cell phones or accessed their bank accounts since leaving she said.
Martian says there recently was an unconfirmed sighting of the pair in Golden, B.C.
