Shannon Burgess Missing: Police Looking For Calgary Actress

Calgary Actress Missing
Handout

Shannon Burgess has been missing for more than a week and Calgary police are asking for the public's help in locating her.

Burgess (nee Madill) was last seen at her home on Thursday, Nov. 27, in the 1900 block of Spiller Road SE.

The 25-year-old actress missed weekend engagements and rehearsals, reports Metro Calgary, which prompted her family to contact authorities.

According to the Calgary Sun, Burgess' car remains parked at her home.

Police say they do not suspect foul play, but say the disappearance is out of character.

Staff Sgt. Travis Baker told CTV News police have Burgess' cellphone, but they have not seen any online or electronic activity from the young woman.

"She’s obviously not using her cellphone as we have it. The family was more than cooperative in supplying that to us," he said.

Burgess is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • Weighing approximately 130 lbs.
  • Approximately five foot, six inches tall
  • With red hair and green eyes
  • Wears glasses

"Please, if you have seen her let her know that she is missed and loved. We just want to know that she is safe," her sister, Erin Madill, posted on Facebook.
