Bystander hurt when truck hits ambulance responding to accident north of Winnipeg

STONEWALL, Man. - A man was slightly hurt when an ambulance that had responded to a collision northwest of Winnipeg was pushed into him by a pickup truck.

Stonewall RCMP say the man was a family member of one of the drivers in the original crash.

The ambulance had come to help the two drivers who had minor injuries.

It was parked in the curb lane on CentrePort Canada Way with its lights on.

Police say a pickup truck struck the ambulance from behind and the driver then fled.

Two medical services workers inside the ambulance also had minor injuries.
