Ah, yes: There are few things quite as annoying as being ripped off at a restaurant. But one Boston Chinese food lover took things a little too far this weekend.
According to Boston.com, Harvard associate professor Ben Edelman was overcharged $4 at well-known mom-and-pop Chinese restaurant The Baldwin Bar on Dec. 5, which escalated into an online exchange that quoted Massachusetts state laws and legal action. (Yes, all this over $4.)
The entire mishap was due to outdated prices on The Baldwin Bar's online menu -- each item ordered was $1 more than advertised on the restaurant's website. Edelman proceeded to email manager Ran Duan to inquire about the price differences, to which he received an apology.
