N.B. man found dead after home destroyed by fire

The body of a man who barricaded himself inside his home in western New Brunswick has been found.

Last night, police were called to a home on South Johnville Road.

Police say they negotiated with 45-year-old Anthony Armour throughout the night.

Then, Saturday morning, two nearby sheds caught fire and eventually destroyed the home.

Just before 11 a.m., police said they were still looking for the man who lived there.

But Bath fire chief Stephen Armour said a short time later, a man who was "heavily armed" had been located.

The RCMP say Anthony Armour's body was found outside the home at around 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
