A fire tore through a group of row houses on Oxford Street in the early hours of Dec. 1.
Three days later, police said they were investigating the fire as an arson.
On Dec. 12, police released images of a male suspect they alleged was responsible for the Oxford Street fire, as well as another fire that occurred in Kensington Market days before that.
On Tuesday, Toronto police announced that a 40-year-old man had been arrested.
The accused is charged with five counts of mischief over $5,000, four counts of mischief endangering life, four counts of arson having a disregard for human life, two counts of failing to comply with probation and a count of prowl by night.
Police say the accused was due to appear in court on Tuesday morning.
