La Cantina firebombing video released by Montreal police

Montreal police have released details of two suspects sought in connection with a fire at La Cantina restaurant.

Investigators say two men smashed a window and threw Molotov cocktails inside the restaurant on Nov. 24 at around 1 a.m. One or two arsonists returned a week later, on Dec. 3 shortly before 1 a.m., and again used Molotov cocktails to start a fire, this time completely destroyed the restaurant, according to police.

Police have released a video of the Nov. 24 firebombing.

They say both men are white and one of them was wearing a hooded sweatshirt or light jacket, dark pants with white vertical lines on the sides, and gloves. He covered his face during the crime and had short, dark hair.

La Cantina restaurant was in the news in 2009 after its owner at the time, Frederico del Peschio, was shot and killed outside the building. There were reports Del Peschio had links to the Rizzuto clan for years before his death.
