Man Breaks Into North Van Home, Takes A Snooze

Breaking into someone's home can be exhausting. It may even require taking a quick break.

Such was apparently the case for one burglar from Surrey.

At around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, North Vancouver RCMP responded to a call from a man who returned home to find a stranger having a snooze on the couch. Wearing the homeowner’s shirt.

Police say the 24-year-old alleged intruder helped himself to a bedtime snack from the fridge and gathered a few belongings for the road before making himself comfortable on the couch, where he was later discovered.

The suspect — who officers say was rather “surprised” by the wake-up call — was arrested without incident.
