New giraffe digs at Toronto Zoo

The Toronto Zoo's giraffes have a new hangout for the winter, the Indoor Giraffe House.

The just-opened habitat is a 173-square-metre space that obviously accommodates the giraffes' famously long necks. The giraffes can be viewed inside where visitors will get a closer look at the species than ever before.

The new giraffe house is currently home to the zoo's 24-year-old Masai giraffe, named Twiga, and her one-year-old female calf Mstari.

The Indoor Giraffe House will be open year round.
