Peel police's 'Project Trident' nets 11 drug arrests in Mississauga, Brampton

Peel police have arrested 11 suspects in a drug trafficking bust that focused on two areas in Mississauga and Brampton.

Police say the three-month-long investigation "Project Trident" targeted street-level drug trafficking in the Hurontario Street and Dundas Street area of Mississauga and the Hurontario Street and Church Street area of Brampton. Police also took aim at businesses with known drug trafficking activity. 

Police arrested 11 suspects from Mississauga and Brampton and seized cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana and heroin, all of which investigators say were offered for sale in the two GTA areas.

Combined, the suspects face a total of 44 charges, including trafficking of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
