Justin Haevischer arrested for helping Surrey Six murders escape

The brother of one of the men convicted in the Surrey Six slayings is expected to appear in B.C. Supreme Court in Vancouver this morning.

Justin Lee Haevischer was arrested yesterday after reportedly causing a disturbance at the Edmonton International airport.

He was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant at the time of his arrest for being an accessory after the fact to murder.

He's accused of helping his brother Cody Haevischer and Matthew Johnston escape, knowing the pair had just executed six men in a Surrey apartment in 2007.

Cody Haevischer and Johnston were each found guilty of six counts of first-degree murder and one count of conspiracy to murder earlier this year and sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years.
