Suspect, residents charged after Barrie home invasion

Three people are under arrest following an early morning home invasion in Barrie, including two residents of the townhouse which police now say contained "numerous marijuana plants."

Barrie police say they found the plants and bagged marijuana in the house which was stormed early Saturday morning by three men armed with guns and pepper spray.

The two residents have been charged with drug-related offences. The investigation continues.

Police say the home and its residents were specifically targeted by the suspects, and that the attack was "an isolated event." One shot was fired during the incident, though no one was hit.
