In memoriam: The stars who died in 2014

As another year comes to a close, we're paying tribute to some of the notable figures who died in 2014 from the world of arts and entertainment.

​From Lauren Bacall and Shirley Temple to Robin Williams and Philip Seymour Hoffman, Hollywood lost a number of famous faces in 2014.

The deaths of legends like Maya Angelou and Gabriel García Márquez left holes in the literary world, while the passing of iconic Canadian writer Farley Mowat made a particular impact here at home.
