Calgary shooting: up to 7 injured, 2 with life-threatening injuries

As many as seven people were shot overnight in the southwest Calgary neighbourhood of Killarney, including two people with life-threatening injuries, police say.

Det. Steve Adair said city police received multiple 911 calls from what they believed was a house party at the 1900 block of 36th Street S.W. at about 5:05 a.m. MT Thursday. 

The number of injured is unclear, but it's believed to be between five and seven.

Police are looking for multiple individuals who fled the scene before police arrived, Adair said.

About 50 people were at or near the residence.

Fifteen witnesses have been taken to headquarters to be interviewed, he said.
