Vancouver homicide: man charged with manslaughter

Vancouver police say a 29-year-old man is facing manslaughter charges in the city's first homicide of 2015.

Police were first alerted to the incident when a body was discovered at a home in East Vancouver, near Triumph and Nanaimo streets, on Tuesday afternoon.

About 15 minutes later, police say, a man living in the home was found and arrested near Wall Street and Dundas Street.

Investigators say the accused — whose identity has not been released — and the victim are known to each other and the homicide appears to be drug-related.
