Broken fire hydrant floods Weston/Rogers road intersection

A broken fire hydrant is flooding the intersection of Rogers and Weston Roads this morning, closing the area to traffic and forcing TTC vehicles to divert around the area.

The fire hydrant was damaged in a minor traffic collision.

Water is covering the roadway and quickly turning to ice with temperatures in the -14 C range.

Northbound Weston at Rogers is closed to traffic

CBC Toronto traffic reporter Laurie Turcotte recommends drivers avoid the area.

The TTC's 89 Weston and 161 Rogers buses are diverting both ways via Keele, Eglinton and Black creek drive.
