Old Guysborough Road suspicious fire: 3rd body found

The body of a third person has been found after a suspicious fire in the Halifax area Wednesday afternoon.

A man was arrested Thursday morning after ramming two police cars, following the fire.

The house on the Old Guysborough Road near Wyses Corner, N.S., was fully engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived at about 4:30 p.m. The fire was still burning as of 9 p.m.

"When fire crews arrived more than one body was found dead inside the home," said Brendan Elliott, a spokesman for the Halifax Regional Municipality. 

Police say at around 12:45 a.m. Thursday, a man was arrested in connection to the fire after he rammed two police vehicles with his car in the Milford area, located about 55 kilometres northeast of Halifax.

One victims found in the burned house was a man. 

RCMP spokeswoman Cpl. KarineBernier said Wednesday night that a third person was unaccounted for.​

Five Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency stations responded, along with firefighters from the Enfield and Stewiacke stations.

Ten trucks and 30 firefighters fought the fire. Elliott said the integrated Halifax Regional Police & RCMP Integrated Major Crime unit are investigating the scene.
