Stephen Harper heads west for first public event of 2015

In his first public appearance since the holiday hiatus, Prime Minister Stephen Harper heads west to Delta, where he'll join Employment Minister Jason Kenney and Revenue Minister Kerry-Lynne FIndlay for a mid-morning photo op and announcement at the BC Institute of Technology/Vancouver Community College.

Elsewhere on the ministerial circuit:

- Natural Resources Minister Greg Rickford continues his good news mini-tour of Northern Ontario with a stop at Red Lake Town Hall, where he'll "meet with stakeholders" before unveiling yet another instalment of federal support for "jobs, economic growth and prosperity" in the region.

- Meanwhile, Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MP Cheryl Gallant will be front and centre at CNL Chalk River Laboratories, where she'll "celebrate a milestone"  —- specifically, the commissioning of a new research lab —  alongside Rickford's parliamentary secretary, Kelly Block.

Back in Ottawa, Joint Task Force Commander Brig-General Daniel Constable will host a teleconference to update reporters on Canada's ongoing military operations in Iraq.
