Victims At Jewish Grocery In Paris Honoured With #JeSuisJuif

Four hostages were killed at a kosher grocery store in Paris by a gunman police say had connections to the two men who attacked the offices of Charlie Hebdo.

The gunman at the supermarket near the Porte de Vincennes metro station was killed in a raid by police Friday. The Charlie Hebdo gunmen were killed in a separate raid in the town of Dammartin-en-Goele near Paris.

All day, people have been taking to Twitter to honour those targeted for their religion. They are using the hashtag #JeSuisJuif ("I am Jewish")

Many are calling on those who used #JeSuisCharlie and #JeSuisAhmed to also use #JeSuisJuif

Others are outraged that people would be attacked simply for who they are

Because freedom of religion is as important to democracy as freedom of speech

Many wonder why the hashtag isn't trending

And express frustration that Jewish people have been told to stay home

Others are in disbelief

Mostly, people are simply heartbroken
