Tina Fey And Amy Poehler Make Cosby Jokes At Golden Globes

Fey And Poehler vs. Cosby: You Bet They Went There

After saying there would be Bill Cosby jokes, Golden Globes hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler made good on their promise Sunday night. And how.

At the conclusion of their introduction to the show, Poehler and Fey launched into an 'Into The Woods' joke that referenced the current allegations against the comedian that he drugged and sexually assaulted several women.

They then did impersonations of Cosby's famous Jell-o pudding pop commercials, with this:

Much was made of the celebrity crowd's reaction to the bit, particularly Jessica Chastain's open-mouthed response:

The significance of the jokes was underlined by the fact that Cosby was the star of NBC (the network on which the Golden Globes was airing) for years:

Though no charges have been laid against Bill Cosby, dozens of women have come forward with stories about the star, and in a recent appearance in London, Ontario, he even made a so-called joke about it, saying to an audience member, "You have to be careful about drinking around me."

Poehler and Fey's opening monologue ended right after those jokes, though it's not clear whether or not that was planned or if they were quickly being ushered off the stage by the producers.
