BlackBerry Just Got Busted Tweeting From An iPhone

Well, this is awkward.

Someone with control over the official BlackBerry Twitter account sent out the following tweet Tuesday ... from an iPhone.

The tweet, which was quickly deleted, was spotted and spread by Toronto City councillor, and former deputy mayor, Norm Kelly.

The story was soon picked up by The Verge and Business Insider.

The Huffington Post Canada has reached out to BlackBerry for comment and will update this story if the company responds.

This is actually the second time BlackBerry has run into a major public relations problem as the result of a tweet from an iPhone. In 2013, BlackBerry "global creative director" Alicia Keys was also busted tweeting from an iPhone. The singer later blamed hackers for the tweet.

The gaffe comes as BlackBerry seeks to lure consumers away from rivals Apple and Samsung with two new smartphones: The Passport and The Classic. Looks like the company still has some work to do on that front.
