Repentigny apartment fire battled by crews

Firefighters are still trying to put out a fire in Repentigny that forced about 80 people from their homes.

It started in the kitchen of a unit on the third floor of an apartment building at 93 Richelieu Blvd. 

People on the first and second floor were able to evacuate the building using the stairs, but fire crews had to use a ladder truck to reach some residents on the third floor.

Fire crews are still on the scene.
