Marcus Dass, 18-year-old with autism, missing in Vancouver

Police are searching for Marcus Dass, an 18-year-old boy with autism, who has been missing from southeast Vancouver since Monday.

Vancouver police say Dass was last seen when he left for high school from his home near East 49th Avenue and Tyne Street, but he never arrived at school and has not been seen or heard from since.

"Marcus may appear confused or disoriented. He is known to use transit and frequent quiet places such as libraries," said a statement issued by police.

Marcus is described as:

- 18-year-old Fijian male

- Five feet 10 inches tall, 165 pounds

- Black, collar-length hair and brown eyes

- Usually wears glasses

- Last seen wearing a black hoody and green track pants

Police are asking anyone who sees Marcus Dass to call 911 immediately and stay with him or keep an eye on him until an officer arrives.
