Jean-François Lisée to withdraw from PQ leadership race

Jean-François Lisée will withdraw his bid for the Parti Québécois leadership on Friday afternoon.

He is expected to make the announcement at a news conference at 2 p.m. 

Lisée first announced his intention to run on Nov. 3.

Since then, he had on several occasions voiced concerns over rival candidate Pierre Karl Péladeau's majority shares in media conglomerate Quebecor.

The remaining leadership candidates are MNAs Bernard Drainville, AlexandreCloutier, Martine Ouellet, and labour rights activist Pierre Céré.
