Mikey Bustos, Ex-'Canadian Idol' Contestant, Turns Sam Smith's 'Stay With Me' Into 'Circumcising Me

Sam Smith Was Painfully Parodied By This Ex-'Canadian Idol' Contestant

Fans of "Canadian Idol" might remember Mikey Bustos from its first season.

Lately he's devoted himself to (very effectively) covering and parodying pop hits on his YouTube channel, with a Filipino flavour.

For example, he does an excellent a capella version of Bruno Mars' "Just the Way You Are."

Then there's "I Go to Palengke," his parody of Meghan Trainor's "All About that Bass."

But he may have, er, topped himself with his latest, a parody of Sam Smith's "Stay With Me" titled "Circumcising Me."

In it he relates the Filipino tradition of circumcising men between the ages of eight and 10 years old, according to a YouTube description.

And it's hilarious throughout.

Isn't it ironic that "Canadian Idol" runner-ups can sometimes generate more attention than the winners? (Carly Rae Jepsen was a runner-up in the fifth season).
