'This Hour Has 22 Minutes' Mocks Fort McMurray's New Reality

'22 Minutes' Mocks Fort Mac's New Reality

Fort McMurray is slowing down with the price of oil dropping to depths it hasn't seen since the Great Recession.

And while there are differing opinions as to how that's affecting the city, "This Hour Has 22 Minutes" has nevertheless found some comedy in the oilsands hub's new reality.

A funny segment posted to YouTube on Jan. 27 shows comedian Shaun Majumder playing a Fort Mac resident who says he's "hurt worse than the Edmonton Oilers front office, bud."

Things are so bad for him that he's "sleeping on my Ski-Doo."

We're sure that people living near the oilsands are going through some adjustments right now. But that doesn't mean you can't see a little humour in it.
