A 22-year-old man was arrested at a teen's house party in Abbotsford, B.C. that got out of hand, said police.
Officers received several 911 calls about the party just after midnight on Saturday, said Abbotsford police Const. Ian MacDonald.
"People were reporting everything from general mayhem up to and including the possibility that someone was injured or stabbed at this party," he told The Huffington Post B.C.
Police suspect that 40 to 50 people were at the party, but most of them left when officers arrived.
Those remaining at the party told police that an uninvited guest had been walking through house with a knife. "More specifically, he either punched or struck one or more of the younger attendees in the face," said MacDonald.
A 14-year-old guest, who was punched in the face, was taken to hospital for evaluation and has since been released.
The 22-year-old suspect tried to slip away, but he was arrested and held overnight because he was drunk, said MacDonald. He was released the next day.
No charges have been laid, and the investigation is ongoing. Police are asking for any witnesses to come forward as they believe there may be more victims.
The 14-year-old host threw the party because his parents were out of town, added MacDonald.
