Jason Andrew Boucher arrested in death of Scott Savoy

A Toronto man faces a charge of second-degree murder following the recent discovery of a body in an east-end home.

Toronto police were called to a home in the Danforth Road and Kennedy Road area last Wednesday.

Friends had not heard from Scott Savoy for several days and decided to check on his well-being.

They found him dead inside his home.

Police were called to the scene at 1:50 p.m. that day.

A post-mortem examination determined Savoy, 48, died of blunt-force trauma.

On Monday, police arrested 41-year-old Jason Andrew Boucher.

Boucher is charged with second-degree murder in Savoy's death.

The accused is due to appear in court on Tuesday.

Savoy's death is the fifth homicide police have investigated in Toronto this year.
