Big G, the 10-ft. mascot of exhibition basketball team the Harlem Globetrotters, was stolen from the team's tour bus in Vancouver on Monday night.

According to Vancouver police, Big G was tucked safely away around 4 p.m. on Monday but was gone when the group returned to the bus early Tuesday morning. Big G's battery pack and the team's sound mixer were also stolen.

"Somewhat deflated without Big G, the Globetrotters will continue to amaze basketball fans with their athleticism, theatre and comedy," said a police news release.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Big G is asked to call Vancouver police or Crime Stoppers (and, may we suggest, to keep sharp objects at a distance).
