'Star Wars' Funeral In Wales Sees Stormtroopers Escort Fan's Casket

Stormtroopers Escort Deceased 'Star Wars' Fan To His Funeral

We imagine this is how many "Star Wars" fans would love to go out.

Gordon Deacon of Llanedeyrn, Cardiff, Wales died last month after living with liver and pancreatic cancer, WalesOnline reported.

In life, he developed a passion for two things in particular: Liverpool Football Club (LFC) and "Star Wars."

And his funeral reflected this, as four stormtroopers escorted his casket to St. Margaret's Church in Roath, where attendees either wore costumes from the films or LFC shirts.

Horses wearing red feathers drew a carriage carrying his coffin, which was decorated with an LFC flag and a "Star Wars"-themed floral arrangement.

"He was an amazing man who was a big kid at heart," his granddaughter Georgia told WalesOnline. "He would always put a smile on your face."

We never had a chance to meet Gordon, but it's safe to say the Force was strong with this one.
