Quebec man crashes into bridge construction site on P.E.I.

A man from Quebec was lucky to escape injury after a single vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Souris, P.E.I.

RCMP say the incident happened at around 8 a.m. when the man failed to negotiate the curve at the Souris bridge construction site.

Police say his vehicle went over heavy snow, damaged road signs and came to rest on its side inside the construction zone.

No workers on site were injured.

The investigation into the collision continues.
