Sesame Street's 'Birdman' Parody Is The One We've All Been Waiting For

It was only a matter of time.

How did we get here? To Sesame Street, that is.

That’s the question Big Bird whispers into the ear of Caroll Spinney, the puppeteer behind the beloved “Sesame Street” character in a “Birdman” parody aptly titled “Big Birdman.”

Uploaded to YouTube on Thursday, the clip is scored to the same drum and jazzy beat used in the opening scenes of the Oscar-nominated film it mimics.

Viewers follow Spinney from his dressing room to outside the “Sesame Street” studios as he “battles his ego and attempts to find his way back to a certain furry and friendly street.”

“You’re the original. A movie star, remember? You can fly,” Big Bird says to 81-year-old Spinney. “Well you can’t really fly, but it sure feels like flying.”

It’s only a minute-and-half, but damn, we wish it was longer.
