Oscars statuettes are nice and all, but everyone knows the real winners in Hollywood are the people controlling the purse strings.

Ahead of this Sunday’s Academy Awards, financial intel firm Wealth-X has put together a list of the richest Hollywood moguls -- the directors and producers who make Tinseltown go round.

The list doesn’t include celebrities, only the power brokers, so famously rich personalities like Paul McCartney and Oprah Winfrey didn’t make the cut.

Sadly, strip out the celebrities and what you’re left with is a bunch of white men. Yup, Hollywood is still dominated by the demographic old guard.

And the winner? That would be George Lucas, flush with cash from selling Lucasfilm (and the Star Wars franchise with it) to Disney.

With a net worth of $5.4 billion, the guy might just have enough to build his own real life Death Star.

Check out Hollywood’s richest power brokers, as determined by Wealth-X.

10) James Cameron - $670 million
