Police investigating after swastikas found on cars in NDG

Montreal police are investigating a possible hate crime after swastikas were spray painted on cars in an NDG parking garage.

Const. Anie Lemieux said police got a call late Monday reporting damages to four vehicles in a garage situated on Côte-Saint-Luc Road near Hampton Avenue in NDG.

"Elements that were taken from the scene by investigators lead them to believe that this could be a hate crime," Lemieux said.

"Investigators are still looking for information, and trying to understand why this happened in the garage."

A resident sent CBC photos of the vandalized vehicles.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen something suspicious to contact police.
