Alberta teen sentenced to probation for threat to shoot school staff, students

RED DEER, Alta. - A teen has been given probation for threatening to shoot students and staff at a high school in central Alberta.

The teen, now 18, was sentenced today to 15 months of probation in Red Deer youth court.

He can't be named because he was 17 at the time of the crime.

Police say a note was left at a high school in Red Deer last April in which the teen threatened to shoot staff and students.
