If Anna Wintour gets her way (and she usually does), Kate Middleton will cover Vogue's September issue—the fashion bible's biggest and most important issue of the year.
A source told Radar Online: "Anna knows landing Kate for the September issue would be a huge coup, especially since Prince William's wife has never done a magazine feature for a US publication.
"The focus of Kate's feature would be her numerous charity endeavors, which Anna has conveyed to Kate's staff."
The pregnant Duchess of Cambridge—who is expecting her second child in April—has never posed for the cover of a magazine, UK or otherwise, however fashion photographer Mario Testino photographed the Duke and Duchess' official engagement portraits, which were then featured in US Vogue.
We can't vouch for the validity of the rumour, but we think Anna would have to work hard to convince not only Kate and Will but Queen Elizabeth. Catherine's grandmother-in-law is reportedly so fussy with Kate's clothes that she apparently made Prince George's mum adjust the length of her skirts during the family's royal tour of Australia and New Zealand.
However, Anna is reportedly giving Kate "full control over the accompanying photo shoot" and would let her pick the photographer, journalist and location for the interview.
If Kate does end up getting the cover, we hope she wears some amazing couture looks that are a bit out of her comfort zone!
