UofT teaching assistants' union reaches tentative deal

The union representing thousands of University of Toronto teaching assistants said it reached a tentative agreement in its bargaining process overnight on Thursday.

The Canadian Union of Public Employees 3902's bargaining team said it reached the tentative deal around 2:45 a.m.

"All seven bargaining team members believe that this is an agreement we can proud of, with many significant gains for our members," CUPE said in a news release.

Teaching assistants are set to vote on the deal around 3:30 p.m. today at the downtown campus.
