3-year-old child struck and killed by vehicle in Prince George

RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are investigating after a small child was struck and killed by a car in a residential Prince George neighbourhood Saturday afternoon.

Prince George Cpl. Craig Douglass says emergency services were called to an area near Massey and Ospika Boulevards around 12:30 p.m. PT to investigate a report a three-year-old child had been seriously injured by a vehicle.

The child was taken to University Hospital by ambulance but has died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision say police.

Police have released no other information, but promise further updates.
