This Fake Halifax Dating Ad Is Hilarious (And Horrifying)

Remember video dating? Nowadays we have to contend with the left-right churn of Tinder and idiotic messages on OKCupid but back in the 1980s you had to watch singles awkwardly introduce themselves on tape.

The Downtown Halifax business association certainly remembers the horrors of dating in the 1980s. Last month the group put together this tongue-in-cheek video advertising date night specials.

Their slogan: "Who" is the hardest part. After watching this video, we don't disagree.

"If you don't believe in love at first sight, let me re-introduce myself," one fake suitor says on the video.

*SHUDDER*

Maybe Tinder isn't so bad after all.
