James Enright SkyTrain stabbing death: 2 charged

Two men have been charged in connection with the SkyTrain stabbing death of James Enright, according to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.

A 22-year-old man is charged with second degree murder and an 18-year-old man is charged with manslaughter and assault causing bodily harm in connection with Enright's death, said IHIT's Sgt. Stephanie Ashton.

Police said Enright, 27, was in the wrong place at the wrong time when he tried to help a friend involved in an altercation at Edmonds bus loop in Burnaby on Feb. 15.

"It was a gruelling investigation, there's been many witnesses that have come forward," said Ashton.

"It is with the help of the public and the media that this matter is now before the courts."

Neither of the suspects can be named due to a publication ban, according to IHIT.
