Hulk The Giant Pit Bull Is 175 Pounds Of Dog

Hulk loves kids, plays in the snow and appreciates a good petting, and although he may be banned in the U.K., his owners say he's just part of the family.

The monster 175-pound 17-month-old pit bull is this week's feature on Barcroft TV. In the video above, Hulk's owners and breeders Marlon and Lisa Grennan say their family dog is 100 per cent trustworthy around their 3-year-old son Jordan.

"I don't think it is irresponsible at all for people to have pit bulls around their children, they're dogs like any other dog," Lisa says. "No matter what the breed, it's all completely on how you raise them."

The Grennans run a dog training business called Dark Dynasty K9s, which focuses on training elite guard dogs including pit bulls. In Canada, different provinces have different legislation when it comes to owning a pit bull. In Ontario, for example, a pit bull ban was put in place in 2005 (previous owners were allowed to keep their dogs), while some communities in B.C. are still petitioning for a province-wide ban.

Bans have been brought to cities after reports of deadly attacks and serious bites. In Toronto, for example, the Toronto Star reports these dogs were the city's biggest biters a decade ago, but this number has significantly decreased by 2013.

However, the Grennans say stories of pit bulls attacking people out of the blue is more of a myth, and it really depends on how these breeds are trained.

Marlon adds after all his media attention, Hulk's value has also gone up to $500,000. But will he ever sell him? Watch the video above to find out.
