Joffrey Lupul just isn't having a great week.
It's tough enough to be part of the Toronto Maple Leafs lately (they have won three games in their last ten, and sit near the bottom of the Eastern Conference).
It's worse still to be the subject of trade speculation.
And on Monday, TSN displayed an offensive tweet about him on its Trade Deadline Day broadcast that spurred Lupul, teammate Dion Phaneuf and Phaneuf's wife, actress Elisha Cuthbert, to threaten a lawsuit.
(TSN later apologized.)
It's understandable that Lupul would feel pretty frustrated. And it appears those feelings boiled over on Instagram, where someone posting under his username challenged another user to a fight on his account.
The user, @york51_ , had previously posted some offensive language about Lupul, Phaneuf and Cuthbert in a comment on one of Lupul's posts.
Maybe Lupul can take some solace in the fact that the season's almost over.
