Actor Harrison Ford was rushed to hospital after the small plane he was piloting crashed onto a Venice, Calif. golf course on Thursday.
His son Ben offered an update on his dad’s condition saying he’s a bit bruised, but doing well.
Ford’s publicist Ina Treciokas told The Associated Press in a statement the actor’s injuries are “not life threatening.”
Earlier, the 72-year-old was treated by two doctors who happened to be at the Penmar Golf Course when the two-seater plane crash-landed, TMZ reports.
“We saw this beautiful plane. It looks like a plane I see often, leaving from Santa Monica Airport. Must have hit top of tree,” eyewitness Howard Teba told NBC4.
The plane he was flying was a yellow 1942 Ryan Aeronautical ST3KR.

Ford, an experienced pilot, was flying the single-engine plane solo when his engine failed about 20 minutes after takeoff. He was flying at 3,000 feet at the time.
“Engine failure… immediate return,” the actor can be heard saying in a radio call to air traffic controllers.
The “Star Wars” actor wasn’t able to make it back to Santa Monica Airport, where he took off, so he was forced to make a landing on one of Penmar’s fairways.
A member of the local airport association praised Ford’s handling of the situation.
“I would say that this is an absolutely beautifully executed, what we would call, a forced or emergency landing, by an unbelievably well-trained pilot,” Christiani Fry told the Associated Press.
There were no injuries reported on the ground.
Ford is expected to make a full recovery.
